Sky and Sea Tales #1

This is something I wrote exactly 5 years ago while working on an offshore installation in Sabah, Malaysia.

This is a piece I wrote exactly 5 years ago while working on an offshore installation in Sabah, Malaysia. On this day, the sea was so calm and the sky so bright that I couldn’t resit sitting down to stare for a while. I took a picture that inspired what I wrote, and as this was one of the most favourite moments of my life, I thought I should share it with you; from sky and sea tales

Enjoy.

Sky & Sea Tales #1

Merged in Light

At a time like this, you just can’t tell where the one ends and the other begins. The sky and the sea walk hand in hand in the garden of nature, merged by the unity found in distance alone. Sky blue becomes sea blue, and sea blue doesn’t mind, cos hand in hand in this garden of nature, peace is unity and unity is the fairest of them all.

At a time like this, the sea is a soft velvet blanket dancing gently to the tune of the wind. The light from the sun reveals the glittering diamonds lost in its depths as the silhouette of the clouds grace its glassy face. One look at these twins of nature brings many a gift; serenity, warmth and overflowing joy flood my searching soul.

At a time like this I could sit forever watching this canvas of nature; from where I’m sitting, there’s no better view than this. How God in His almightiness stooped so low, with a brush in His hand and with love in His heart, to paint this beauty just for my viewing pleasure is still a wonder to me. Yet no matter how long I sit and stare, I still can’t say where the one ends and where the other begins.
