This is the second piece in Sky and Sea Tales. I wrote it 5 years ago while working on an offshore installation in Sabah, Malaysia. It was nighttime and all I could see was the thick blackness of the night and a few spots of light. I took a picture that inspired what I wrote and I am happy to share it with you.
Enjoy.

Sky & Sea Tales #2
Merged in Darkness
At a time like this, the sea and the sky merge again
Basking in tranquility what the sun gives when it sleeps
No boundaries, no lines, just a vast spread of blackness
All other things float around like a man lost in space
Twinkling in the night sky are our friendly stars
Like tiny little diamonds waiting to be donned
A cluster here and another there dressing the sky
Adorning the darkness with grace and elegance
Tonight as I stop to take a look, I still can’t tell
Where the one ends and where the other begins
Still there’s peace, there’s hope, there’s serenity
The Master Painter does it all with one stroke.
