I got nominated for my first ever challenge. Yipeeeee! It does make me feel special, like my posts actually do get read, and someone thinks good of me. So thank you, Stefan for the nomination (guys go ahead, click on his name and thank me later)
So here are the rules.
- Thank the person who nominated you (which I have already done first ☺️)
- Post a quote each day, for 3 consecutive days and say why it appeals to you.
- Nominate 3 different bloggers each day! 🙂
To be honest, I have always ran away from ‘challenges’ especially when they were a thing on Facebook. People just make up challenges and others join right in without thinking about the purpose, yeah, kind of a bandwagon experience. But this does feel different, and I’m super excited to participate. I pray that each quote I share these three days, as much as they have inspired me, will reach out to you reading this, and inspire you too.
So here we go!
Life is not a race with men, but a walk with God!
I really cannot remember when or where I first heard this quote, but from the first day I heard it so many years ago, it became my life’s motto. In a world where success is defined by how much you have and what you own, many are driven to a life of unhealthy competition which has cost them the most important things in life, like love, sacrifice and self-control. So anytime I’m driven in ambition, or by jealousy, or greed, to desire what another has, I remind myself of this scripture: Then Jesus said to them, “Be careful and guard against all kinds of greed and covetousness. Life is not measured by how much one owns (Luke 12:15)

I nominated you guys because one way or the other, you have inspired me.
God bless us all 😍

This is so true. We all can get caught up in the “rat” race so quickly. Our lives should never be measured by the things we own but rather by our heart, integrity and our faith in God.
Thanks for the subtle reminder 🙂
