Today’s Headlines

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarrelling, deception, malicious behaviour, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

It’s very hard to doubt the Bible. Very very hard.

I read this scripture some days ago and it pricked my heart, so I copied and pasted it on a page so I could write about why it spoke to me. I hadn’t gotten about writing the post when, while catching up with friends on Facebook yesterday, I came across a story on The Telegraph with this title:

Dutch man, 69, who ‘identifies as 20 years younger’ launches legal battle to change age

I cannot say I was stunned. This is not the first time I have come across such a story. There was one about the Caucasian woman who identified herself as dark-skinned. There was also this headline on DailyMail:

‘I’ve gone back to being a child’: Husband and father-of-seven, 52, leaves his wife and kids to live as a transgender SIX-YEAR-OLD girl named Stefonknee

If I decided to spend my precious time looking for stories like these, I would probably share countless numbers of them with you. But like I said, my time is PRECIOUS so I’d rather not spend it fruitlessly, nor waste any of yours.

Sadly but true, this is just the beginning of the world’s plunge into the sea of ludicrousness, so asking when this will end is also a waste of time. The moment we excused God from our affairs because we know enough to decide for ourselves, that was the moment we lost every iota of common sense and sane moral judgement.

We have made ourselves believe that humans possess the highest of powers. We have deceived ourselves to thinking that we have the right to decide what nature can be when nature itself points us to the existence of the One who created all. We call it ‘liberalism’ or ‘enlightenment’ or ‘intelligence’ or ‘awareness’, yet we are unaware of the foolishness of it all.

Unfortunately, those who support this agenda, no matter how few they are, continue to outvoice those who know the truth, because those with the truth have largely remained silent. So think about your children. Think about generations to come. They might be born into a world where men will walk around on leashes held by other men because they identify as pets. Or a world where a child is born and left to fend for itself because the parents have no rights to fend for them. Or even worse things than my mind can fathom at this point.

Where are those who will stand and declare the truth?

Where are those who will stand for generations to come?

Where are those who believe the word of God as we watch it play out before our eyes?

Where are you?
