It’s been a while since I have consciously taken the time to think of all the many things I am grateful for and all the many ways God has been so gracious to me. So He sent Vickie on this mission to get me thinking and counting my blessings through this tag. Thank you, Vickie!
Randomly writing out things I’m grateful for would have been so easy, but when I have to list them alphabetically. I know I have some heart-digging to do, and that’s why I appreciate this tag. My Thanksgiving will be intentional.
Rules:
- List your thankful ABC’s.
- Add one theme clip art to your post.
- Tag 3 people who you would like to participate.
So here we go.
A – I’m grateful for Alethea’s Mind. The Lord has used this platform to open my heart to Him in ways it never has been, through the words He gives me and the ones He gives others that have blessed me. I’m also grateful for every expression of Art.
B – I’m grateful for Bread, Brothers, Boo of Life and Brume. Bread, because it’s the only thing I can always eat whenever food confuses me. Brothers, because I have the best ones ever, three biological ones and uncountable others. Boo of life because, as I call him, he is my Boo for life. Brume, because he’s the son God gave me to daily remind me of what love truly means.
C – I’m grateful for my Children and Carrot Cake. Tega and Brume have opened up my heart to love in the way I never knew existed before I had them. They have also shown me a depth of fear that I never knew existed, and in turn, expanding the level of my trust in God in a way I never knew I could trust Him. As for Carrot Cake, it’s the best cake I know, cos Boo of life bakes it perfectly well.
D – I’m grateful for my Dad. Samuel Osunlaja was a man of impeccable character. He was a man who showed me how to love God by the way he loved Him. And as much as I miss him, I know I’m grateful. I’m grateful for all the other Dads who have stepped in, in his place. I’m grateful that I can always Dance for my Lord.
E – I’m grateful for Eternal and Everlasting Life that Jesus has promised me. It gives the life I live on earth quite some perspective.
F – I’m grateful for my Family and Friends. For so many reasons, Lord, I’m grateful for them all. I’m grateful for Faith. It keeps me going.
G – I’m grateful for the God who loves me in spite of my sinful self. The God who calls me His own. The God who has given all for me and the Grace He supplies.
H – I’m grateful for the House I live in. It has come to mean much to me since we moved in last year. It has become my Home. I’m grateful for my Husband. I can never be too grateful for Him.
I – I’m grateful for Insights and Inspiration. I’m not the smartest kid on the block, but as the Lord daily transforms my mind, He opens it up to receive more from Him. I’m grateful for my In-laws. They are amazing people.
J – I’m grateful for JESUS!!!
K – I’m grateful for the Kids that surround me. There are lots of them who have become such a part of my life and have come to love me like I was their mother. It means much.
L – I’m grateful for Love. I’m grateful for Life. I’m grateful to the Lord who has blessed me with both.
M – I’m grateful for my Mum. Esther Osunlaja, the most selfless woman I know. The fighter, the God-lover, the disciplinarian, the teacher, the friend. I’m also grateful for Music, I couldn’t do without it.
N – I’m grateful for every New Day. Every one is an opportunity to be better.
O – I’m grateful for October, the month I was born and the month I got married. It’s a special month like that. I’m grateful for Ogaga: Boo of life, my husband. The man God filled with so much patience to handle every episode of my drama.
P – I’m grateful for People. I love having people around me and it brings me so much joy.
Q – I’m grateful for Quiet Times. I don’t get much of those anymore, so I know how much it means when I find a piece or two. I’m grateful for Questions; without them, I wouldn’t know how else to seek the truth.
R – I’m grateful for the Roads that led me to every single person and experience that have made me ME.
S – I’m grateful for Sisters. I don’t have any biological ones, but the Lord has surrounded me with a truckload of Christ-Sisters. I’m grateful for them all. I’m grateful that I am Saved.
T – I’m grateful for this Thanksgiving Tag. I’m grateful for Tega, the drama queen of my life. I’m grateful for Tomorrow . . . the opportunity I get to be better.
U – I’m grateful for my Union with my husband. We’ve had times and times and we are tougher together with every time that passes.
V – I’m grateful for you, Vickie. You’re the reason I’m here cracking my head trying to pull out from my heart what I need to be grateful for.
W– I’m grateful for all my WordPress Friends who have become so dear to me. We have become a family.
X – This one troubled me the most, trying to think about what I could possibly be grateful for that isn’t Xylophone. Then I remember how I wished that I would never be an EX to anyone and I would marry the first person I fall in love with. Well, that plan never worked as I had failed relationships before I married Ogaga. But as I stand here, I must admit that in the light of my present life, I’m grateful I’m an EX.
Y – I’m grateful for Yesterday. Knowing I can never go back to change anything helps me focus on what the present has to offer.
Z – I’m grateful for Zion, my heavenly home. I don’t think much about Heaven, and I really should. Just to know that I have a home when I’m gone from this world is all the comfort my heart should seek. Today, I bring it to mind.

Mehn, this was hard work, but I’m so happy I have something to be grateful for to match all the letters of the alphabet . . . and that’s something to be grateful for!!!
If you don’t mind, and you think this would be a good means to draw from your heart wells of gratitude, please receive the honour of participating in this tag:
Dear Alethea, I am humbled and honored to be tagged in your post! Wow, your list of thankfulness is amazing and I can imagine that was not easy to generate. I am looking forward to tackling this as soon as I can. In the meantime, please know one thing I am grateful for is this supportive Christian blogging community! Bless you!

Bless you too, Melissa. I just had to tag you 😃😃😃
I called out the alphabets and hope my husband could help me with something to be grateful for and his answers were beyond hopeless 😂😂😂😂 I knew I had to slug this one out on my own. It was worth it. Thanks for your kindness. You are one of my many Christ-sisters.

Actually, no I haven’t been tagged. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading what everyone else is thankful for as it has made me realize a few things I have taken for granted.

This is a great idea to do! I will sit down and write out what I am thankful for! I love Thanksgiving and my heart always turns to being Thankful when I turn the calendar to November. But a thankful heart is a joyful heart……I can hear yours in this post!!

I googled the meaning of this and it says “thank you”😁.. I am Nigerian😊. I know Ghanaians bear Efua too😁 because I have heard people say so. It will be interesting to know what it means in Ghana😁

This is amazing. Efua is a name for girls born on Friday. I know this because I schooled in Ghana. I really did think you were Ghanaian. Great to know you’re my naija sis then 😘😘😘😘

Ahh!!! Interesting indeed! I never knew that! People always think I am Ghanaian because of my name. Efua is a name from the Esan (Ishan) tribe in Edo state, Nigeria. It means light😁😁. Hello my Naija sister!😁😘❤️

I enjoyed reading every bit of it, and when my little bosses tried to distract me, I put it down so I could take my time when they’re in bed to digest it, which I have just done. I join my voice with yours to thank Him for who He is to us and all He has done and keeps doing.
