I have been nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award by my dear blogger friends Vickie over at Vickie’s Book Nook and Meditation Corner and James over at James A. Best.

Vickie’s nomination came quite a while ago and at a time when I needed some encouragement over here, and reading the facts she shared about herself gave me such a boost. Her life is a testimony of the fact that with God, nothing is impossible. I was also encouraged by James’ nomination, reading that he has published books gave me a boost on my dreams to finish mine.

  2. I’m the only girl in the midst of three male siblings
  3. I’ve lived in Nigeria, Ghana, Malaysia and currently now in Scotland
  4. I prefer manual labour to brain tasking work
  5. I finally bought a red shoe after I said I could never wear one
  6. I’m an engineer. My father was an engineer. My brothers are engineers, well, sort of, and I married an engineer
  7. I wish I could homeschool my kids

      1. Unfortunately no. I haven’t heard from him since the early 90’s. His family had a farm out there and he always wanted me to come see the animals. I’d love to have went.

  4. Awesome! Congratulations sis! Mine are homeschooled and honestly, I wish they were in a private school. Kids really need social interaction with other kids. Though I don’t agree with the way kids are being taught in school. It’s almost a catch 22.

    1. Really? I didn’t know they were. The decision continues to look attractive to me with the things taught in schools these days. And Scotland is always the pioneer for these crazy things as they have just introduced homosexual sex education in primary schools. It’s very worrying the rate it’s going at this point.

      1. Yes, they are 🙂 Jenn’s mom teaches them. But her ideas on teaching and my ideas are so different.

        Yes, things taught in public schools these days are horrendous. It wouldn’t be so bad IF parents took an active role in say helping with homework, asking questions and answering them as well as being aware of what is being taught. Most parents do not have a clue what their kids are being taught.

        You on the other hand, do!

        1. It’s amazing that she does. I’m sure if we all brought our teaching ideas forward and insisted on them I’m sure there’ll be a good reason for another world war 😂 so well done for letting her.

          I saw a video one time where a mother was drilling the school board about their boundaries and how far they really should be going in the name of education. Yes, it’ll be so great if we all got involved. You have given me an idea that I hope God will enable me to follow through with tomorrow.

    1. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was even a pink shoe. My goodness, the things I’ve begun to do. There was a time when the only shoes I had were black and brown and that wasn’t very long ago 😂😂😂😂

    I just realized I don’t own a red shoe.. Lol

    Home schooling is something I’m pretty curious about. How does it work? What curriculum do the kids use? When home schooled are there still things like test, homework, exam? How is grading done when home schooled? Because of where I live and I’m coning from the concept feels so foreign.

    1. I don’t have those answers myself just yet but apparently it feels like so. I’m going to have to get my research cap on soon.

  8. PTL! Congrats on your Versatile Blogger Award, Tosin! What interesting conversations there must be around the table of a family full of engineers. And just think… now if you’re too far away from home you can just click the heels of those red shoes together 3 times and each time say, “There’s no place like home.” 😉

      Funny it’s been such a while since we all sat on a table together, but I’m looking forward to next year as there’ll be a wedding to bring us together 😀

        2. I need to do a good revision of my old time stories to be mixing Alice in Wonderland with Wizard of Oz, not after I’ve seen one bank’s ad use Dorothy over and over again for some months now 🙈
