66 Candles

Happy Birthday Dad . . .

66, you would have been today.
So I light up my candles, all 66 of them
To honour you whom I cherish with all my heart.
Today I write you a love note with 66 words
To let you know you can never be replaced.
Today I mark your years, 66 from your day of birth
And celebrate the ones we shared, forever in my heart!

    1. Certainly my pleasure, Kathy. Awww, you’ll make me cry…
He always taught us as children that all that matters is the legacy we leave behind, and he left big shoes that really can’t be filled, so we’re all trying to wear ours as God grows us each day. I’m grateful for it all.
