As most of my WordPress family, friends and readers reside in the United States of America, it is very fitting to join you as you celebrate. I know your country might not be all you want it to be, no country is, to be honest. But celebrating freedom is something to hold dear, as we think about the greatest freedom of all:
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
John 8:34-36
As you celebrate, spend some time to think about those for who freedom, both physical and spiritual, is nonexistent, and say a prayer for all. Let your light shine and keep being a voice for Truth. There are many reasons to complain, but wisdom chooses to be thankful.
So from all of us on the other side of the pond,
Happy 4th of July to you, my dear friends!
Aww, thanks, Tosin! That was beautifully stated.
I especially like, “wisdom chooses to be thankful.” I’m deeply breathing in that truth.
