“THAT’S JUST HOW I AM. I DON’T TAKE NONSENSE!!!”
We hear these words a lot of times, and we may admire those who live by this mantra as ‘no-nonsense’ people. We might even want to be like them so that no one will ever take us for granted. But is that the best way?
Colossians 4:6, ESV: “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” One of the reasons I loved Ravi Zacharias was the manner in which he spoke about his beliefs. Even in the face of gruelling opposition, love and grace always flowed through Ravi’s answers. That is the way of Jesus.
The next time someone is about to cross your well-manicured boundary line, think about how you choose to respond. They might never cross your lines again because of the wounds you have inflicted, or they might never cross those lines because of the grace you have shown.
Choose well.
That’s a beautiful picture of a lovely boundary; and a thought-provoking quote to go with it. We need not be harsh. We can let God’s Word carry the power, authority, and grace.

You know it was my daughter who asked me to take a photo of it on one of our walks. I’m grateful I listened to her ❤️

To have boundaries with truth and love is so perfectly said. May we ask GOD to show us how to do this daily. Loved it!
