So many believers are falling away. We have seen news after news of a lot of Christians now denouncing their faith. Can this shake the faith of others? Yes, it can. But even in the wave of deception, we must not be afraid. God is able to keep us in Him, if only we want to stay.
My prayer for every one of us is that no matter what wave of deception fills the air, our hearts will remain steadfast, longing for more of the One who gave it ALL for us.

Althea, I love this message. And kudos on choosing the ROCK at the back drop as Jesus is the Rock. I am attempting to start a weekly Bible study every Sunday evening at a local homeless shelter with one of my mentors from church. Please pray that God open’s the door for us to get started soon. When I see stories of others who have fallen away, it causes me to seek the Lord more. It does not weaken my faith when others leave, It causes me to want to pray for them

In reading your post, the Lord makes me mindful of how we need to be focused on our own faith, our own accountability, and remember to follow Him and Him alone. Edification is a good and biblical thing, but it is not a substitute for the word and testimony of our Jesus Christ.
This is how God led me to read the bible for the first time ever back in my 20s… all the way through… because God’s word warns that even those leading and preaching in the church will be misleading us in the end days. We need to know what is really in there, and what is not. It changed my life.
We need to remember the same with fellow believers and avoid celebritizing them. Pray for those who have fallen away, and those who are weak in the faith. We all need each other, but GOD is who we are to follow.
